Madison General Ordinances, Chapter 26: Offenses Against Public
Morals and Decency

26.02 POPPING OF THE COLLAR

(1) Definitions. As used in this section:
(a) "Intentionally" has the meaning used in Wis. Stats § 939.23.

(b) "Polo-type" means a short-sleeved, collared, knit shirt.
(c) "Pop" means to flip up the collar such that the edge of the
collar forms an angle of more than 90 degrees relative to the neck.

(2) It shall be unlawful for any person to intentionally pop his/her
collar while wearing a polo-type shirt, or to cause or to provoke
another to do so.

(3) A violation of this section shall result in a fine of no more
than $300, or a swift kick in the ass, or both.
